Libre mangarap, di ba?

Libre mangarap di ba?
Sasakay ako ng barko, yung parang Titanic. Tapos hindi na ako babalik. Tapos first class yung ticket ko. Yung barko, kumpleto na lahat dun. May mall, bar, gym, lahat lahat. Repeat 100x).

Don't cry! You're more than that!: YOU SHOULD LOVE SOMEONE WHO WRITES

manelamaganda:

You should date someone who writes. Someone who is simple yet complicated, organized yet unpredictable, understanding but critical, loyal yet sensitive, imaginative yet demanding.

Someone who writes is simple. You can never resists the simplicity and complexity of her life. She likes…

“You are radical because you are still young.”
While I like being called radical and young at the same time, I winced upon the remark upfront. I was startled and I am guessing that my face did not betray my frustration. I must have been wearing a frown, staring blankly or maybe even both that I was asked if there’s something wrong. But of course there’s something wrong, there must be.
I am 22 years old, months away from turning 23. The years were not always sunny and surely, I’ve had my share of storm and rain, but that’s a different story. You see, I was well-provided, supported by my family through and through. I was sitting pretty in my own little world, unaware of the injustices happening around me, that which poverty and greed have caused. Then I got lucky. I met people who believed that my generation needs education, one that my tuition won’t be able to afford, something I would not have aquired had I chosen to stay inside the classrooms the whole time. There is so much more to learn and there’s just no end to it. The least I can do is pay it all forward, make sure that the fire does not die.
I’ve heard people say that as soon as I grow up, I’ll realize that my ideals are far-fetched from what’s really happening. I was told time and again that I can only do so much and I alone cannot change the world. But that’s the whole point of it, right? If I can only do so much and there is something I can do, why not do everything I could? If they are aware that I alone cannot change the world, why not do their part too?
I don’t suppose things are going to change overnight. But every time we choose to ignore it, the more often we decide to turn a blind eye, every time we isolate ourselves with the world due to fear, ignorance and selfishness, is a pound of salt added to the wound.
The system is already rotting as it is and the number of times we choose to shut up and shrug things off contributes to condoning the evil that has been eating us all. Let not the hope die. Let not the dream remain a vision. Let not growing old be the excuse. Heck, let us not think of any excuse.

“I am grateful to ABS-CBN but this is damn irresponsible. You do not go about propagating WAR. Especially if you can reach at least 80% of the population.” “I condemn the ABS CBN TV Patrol POLL dated October 20, 2011 for irresponsibly asking a complex question: “Papayag ba kayo na itigil na peace talks at mag ALL OUT WAR na laban sa MILF?” While 97% voted for YES, does this follow that 97% want to stop the peace talks AND at the same time launch an ALL OUT WAR against the MILF? Let us not allow a question to compromise the peace talks. NO to sensationalizing of news and complex questions. YES to fairness and accuracy of news! MEDIA, KNOW YOUR RESPONSIBILITY! [Please post this in your status until this reaches the mainstream.”
- From Mr. Ping Medina, taken from FB——————
I have always hated the way we report news. It is vastly unfair to Muslims. As I said in a previous post: It pains my ear how they report such things on local news too, if a crime was committed by a Muslim, they are quick to point it out like “Isang Muslim ang nangholdap ng banko!” yet we never hear “isang Kristayano ang nang rape ng bata!”. It’s stupid & irresponsible.
